Outcomes of the College Academic Success Team Program

  • Finishing your last semester strong. Maintain in motivation and ignite a passion for learning as you work through the semester.  

  • Increase your personal confidence—both inside and outside of the classroom.

  • Create a prepared mindset for your life after high school. Develop a growth mindset prepared for the obstacles of the workforce, college, military or other choices.

  • Build connections and relationships with peers. Lay the ground work for future relationships and leadership roles as well as developing team work skills.

  • Learn to improve your academics and practice to strengthen and improve learning.

  • Education on financial literacy.

  • $100 and field trip awarded to each student upon successful  completion of Phase I of the program. 

  • Students who complete the optional Phase II in addition to Phase I will receive $250and a college tour in addition to the fieldtrip. 

Cost: Free

The CAST Program Includes​

1. Lectures—Educational lectures and experiential learning for academic development.

2. Videos—Instructional videos assist students in learning    strategies, techniques, public speaking, and principles of leadership and core values.

 

3. Groupwork—Small group work explores, discusses and    develops ideas, and will focus on planning group presentations and learning peer listening skills. 

4. Fieldtrip—Upon completion of the program, students in good standing will work collaboratively to select a destination for a group fieldtrip.

When: January 18, 2022 through June 7, 2022 

Recurring Meetings: Weekly Tuesdays 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
